Year 7 Vacuum forming lesson. This lesson focuses on making a mould/ former to be vacuumed formed. lesson includes types of plastics and environmental issues along with the vacuum forming process. we made our moulds from plasticine and froze them be form using them in the vacuumed former.

This is the first lesson for unit 2 of the AQA Materials Technology Technical Award. I decided to create a props task for a production company. This lesson allows students to complete a small amount of research and a draft specification so they can move on to the deeper planning required in unit 2. The lesson includes a modeled example of what students could complete for this lesson.

Full lesson with notes pages and learning mats, ready to teach. once students have completed the workshop they should be able to create skill evidence.

AQA Fashion and Textiles Unit 1 Joining Fabrics Learning Mats, Covering, plain seams, french seams, flat felled seams and over locked seams. I used these mats to lace on the tables when ting a seam sampling workshop. Student then added the seam samples to their skill evidence page, and used the information on the learning mats to add notes to their samples.

AQA Visual Communications One Point Perspective Drawing Lesson. I used this lesson to get my class to draw a one pint perspective drawing to add to their own video game cover for unit 1.

AQA Fashion and Textiles Technical Award Unit 1 Project 1 Mood Boards. Before working on the other skills in unit one I asked my students to create mood boards that would help them too tackle the skills in unit a creative way to match a given theme. This lesson was used for student to create their mood boards.

AQA Fashion and Textiles Technical Award Selecting Images for Mood Boards. I used this lesson to teach students how to select the correct pictures for their mood boards for the first project tin unit 1. This lesson is best accompanied by the other lessons for the technical ward that can be found in my shop.
